Carbon fibre fishing rods conduct electricity

Carbon fibre fishing rods should not be used near

power lines because carbon fibre is a good conductor

of electricity. The rod does not even need to touch

the power line for current to be conducted through it.

Fishing with a carbon fibre rod is dangerous in a

thunderstorm since it can act...
