Gana Media Group's Mexican sports media platform signs advertising deal with Feenicia ahead of FIFA World Cup

Sports entertainment company Gana Media Group plc (LSE: GANA) announced on Wednesday that its Mexican sports media platform, Estadio Deportes, has signed a digital sponsorship agreement with multi-platform point-of-sale payment solutions provider Feenicia of Mexico City.

Under the agreement, Feenicia will run advertising campaigns across estadiodeportes.mx, targeting the platform's growing audience of Mexican sports fans with a focus on Liga MX, the Mexican national team and international football.

The partnership comes ahead of the FIFA World Cup 2026, which Mexico will co-host for the first time since 1986. The opening match is scheduled for 11 June 2026 at Estadio Azteca.

Gana Media Group said the agreement supports Estadio Deportes' audience growth and monetisation strategy as traffic is expected to increase significantly during the tournament. The company added that both brands share a focus on accessibility, with Feenicia providing payment technology for small businesses and Estadio Deportes expanding access to sports journalism.
